Horticulture industry in Tanzania is growing at an annual average rate of as high as 9 – 12 per cent. The major drivers for the subsector growths are high population growth, high urbanization rate, growth in disposable income associated with economic growth of more than 6% per annum, awareness on healthy consumption and very important, competitiveness in the export market.
